The food cultures of Southern and Northern China are different in every sense, and is even more evident when it comes to breakfast. Northern Chinese food is mainly wheaten-based dishes usually with noodles and doughs as ingredients.

The first one on our North menu is a dish called Hu La Tang, which is a kind of pepper soup including gluten, meat, soup and vegetables. The gluten is the finishing touch to the spicy soup. The fluffy, porous gluten absorbs the flavors of the soup, making it rich and sweet. But of course, if you want the soup to be gluten-free, we provide you with alternatives like potatoes.

The second dish on our North menu should be the so-called main course - JianBing Guozi (Chinese crepes). The Chinese crepe is a traditional street food in northern China. There are two most popular practices regarding the crust of pancakes, one is the egg pancake that originated in Tianjin and the other is the mixed grain pancake that originated in Shandong. So for our special North menu, we will offer both of them and let our guest decide which one they prefer.

The last dish is Tang Huo Shao, a traditional Beijing snack, named because it is made in a jar as a stove, and the raw biscuit is baked directly on the wall of the jar. The cake is light yellow in color, with a crispy outer crust and a layered, tasty interior.
